The Estate

My limited acreage means I can work everything on my own, so I have complete control over all aspects of the vineyard, from vinification to ageing:
- Gradual conversion to cordon pruning at ground level
- Meticulous pruning
- Manual leaf removal
- Green harvest
- Vineyard management without a single drop of weedkiller, a practice in place since 2020
- Harvesting in crates
- Aged 20 months

In my parents' day, the vineyard covered 12 hectares.
In 2022, I decided to refocus the business on the best terroirs.
The full hill and the croup, where I can reach over-ripeness, the keystone of my process.
The vineyard is dominated by 70% Merlot on clay gravel, complemented by 30% Cabernet Sauvignon on fine gravel, which balances the opulence of the “roasted” Merlot.

The story of Clos des Gommiers

My grandparents acquire the property.
I was born on the estate and spent my childhood among the vineyards.
With a degree in viticulture and oenology, I was entrusted with the technical management of a neighboring vineyard. At the same time, I look after the family estate.
I give up my job to devote myself solely to the family vineyard. Clos des Gommiers was born.
